From the 1st to the 7th of August it is internationally celebrated the Breastfeeding Week. Regarding this event many awareness campaigns around the world are being carried out aiming at giving information about the great benefits of this practice not only in the nutritional and development aspects for the baby, but also in the enrichment of the relational aspects. The British Hospital has been committed to this mission since 2013 with the accreditation of the Childhood National Health Program for the accomplishment of the Infant and Young Child Good Feeding Practices. This year we celebrate this event by inviting our affiliate and pregnant mothers to the lecture on "Food and Techniques during breastfeeding. Myths and Facts”, during which an interdisciplinary team will be available to answer all the questions and doubts which are raised about this subject. Do fluid requirements increase during breastfeeding? Are there any foods that support breastfeeding? Does the mother's diet affect the taste and the smell of her milk? By the Graduate in Nutrition Alejandra Amestoy, Lucía Agulla, Marcela Fernandez and Graduate Nurse Verónica Mezquita.
