The Unit of Electroencephalography and Clinical Neurophysiology is under the supervision of Assoc. Prof. Dr Alejandro Scaramelli, who, together with Dr Cecilia Orellana, prepare the medical reports.
• Conventional Electroencephalography (EEG), with sleep deprivation or induced sleep, and/or with intermittent light stimulation.
• Long term simultaneous Video-EEG Monitoring - This test is very useful to differentiate diagnoses between epileptic seizures and episodes of another nature, and to establish the type of syndrome with greater precision.
• Polysomnography (Sleep test) - is indicated, among other tests, for patients with possible sleep apnoea, excessive daytime sleepiness and different types of insomnia.
