On Monday the 8th of March, during the International Women's Day, the Hospital received the visit from the British Ambassador Faye O'Connor, together with Pilar Amaya, a 19-year-old young woman from Florida department who accompanied her as part of the "Leader for a Day" program developed by the embassy.They were both received by the Bachelor of Science in Nursing Mónica Giménez, and the Head Nurse of the Vaccination Center Patricia Calvo.
During the meeting, they discussed the role of women in the health area during the pandemic, including the development of protocols and new services such as the new laboratory for swabs and the new COVID Vaccination Center, sharing the challenges that have been necessary to overcome as leaders, as well as the learnings it has left us.
The Hospital is proud to have been part of this program that encourages the youngest women in our country to follow this way.
