The opening of the RT International Institute makes available to the public a space of excellence in High Precision Radiotherapy for oncological care, which has the most advanced technology worldwide and a team of highly trained professionals, made up of the most outstanding experts and academics in the specialty.
The expected benefit with the use of high precision radiotherapy is a higher rate of regional control of the treated lesions, which increases the probability of healing and minimizes the possible appearance of adverse effects on surrounding healthy tissues.
The validation of the British Hospital as a reference Institution beyond its borders had another of its high points in the realization of an academic day together with the Mayo Clinic of the United States, focused on the treatment of prostate cancer with high-precision imaging.
The activity organized by the Department of Continuing Medical Education of the British Hospital, included the participation of Dr. Jack R. Andrews, specialist in the multidisciplinary treatment of urological cancer, from the prestigious clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
It is common for the British Hospital to host update days, workshops, conferences and academic meetings in which both, its professionals and colleagues from the public and private areas participate. Doctors from abroad who are leaders in their respective specialties participate in several of these events.
